And 100% of us face many smaller moments that linger in our minds, beliefs, and bodies.

70% of people suffer from unresolved trauma.

So why keep struggling when relief is within reach?

Therapy Intensives for Trauma & Chronic Pain in Portland, Oregon

You don’t need to talk through every painful memory to heal. You just need a proven approach to process them.

Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Brainspotting, EMDR, and Flash work with the brain’s natural healing ability to rewire how painful memories, body sensations, and emotions are stored, without you having to revisit every detail. It’s a science-backed approach that brings real results—quickly and gently.

And while these methods offer efficient healing, I’m also here to listen deeply and explore the layers of your experience with you, if that’s what you desire. I’ll attune to your pace and be there with compassion and care, whether you’re ready to dive deep or prefer to keep things lighter.

Because healing doesn’t have to be about reliving every painful moment. Instead, it’s about using deep brain methods with someone who is totally present and attuned to you, that allow your brain to process and reframe the issue without retraumatizing you. This approach is efficient, imaginative, and highly somatic—so you can heal deeply and move forward in your life.

Which Therapy Intensive Is Right for You?

Trauma-Focused Therapy Intensives

For those who feel stuck in old trauma responses, emotional overwhelm, or patterns that won’t shift, therapy intensives provide deep processing with extended therapy sessions of 2-4 hours.

Unlike traditional weekly therapy, where progress can feel slow, intensives allow for focused, uninterrupted healing so you can experience real movement forward—without spending years in therapy.

Using trauma-focused brain based approaches, we can:

Chronic Pain Therapy Intensives

If your pain started after trauma, an accident, or a high-stress period, your nervous system might still be sending danger signals—even when there’s no ongoing injury.

A chronic pain therapy intensive helps you:

Garden Therapy Intensive

For those who find healing through movement, nature, and sensory experiences, a garden therapy intensive offers a unique way to process trauma and chronic pain.

What makes this approach different?

Rather than sitting in a therapy office, we work directly with nature as a co-regulator—engaging your senses, working with the soil, and creating a felt sense of safety in your body.

With 4–6 hours of dedicated time in your own garden, we’ll cultivate both your inner world and outer space, creating the conditions for deep healing and transformation.

When you’re ready to finally heal and get back to the part of yourself that is connected, confident, and creative…

Stop feeling stuck in old patterns and start showing up as the intuitive, grounded healer, parent, or entrepreneur you are—leading with your vision and no longer driven by outdated beliefs.

Feel lighter because you’re no longer weighed down by unresolved trauma and pain.

Spend less time worrying about how you’ll get through the day and more time being fully present with yourself and your loved ones.

Stop living every day feeling disconnected from your creativity and start waking up inspired and ready to engage with life again.

You’ll finally feel at home in your body—safe, grounded, and connected.

Is a Therapy Intensive Right for You?

If you’re ready for deeper work in a shorter amount of time, an intensive could be the right fit.

You might be a good match for this approach if:

You’re feeling stuck and need a more immersive therapy experience.
Weekly therapy hasn’t been enough, and you’re ready to dive deeper.
You have trauma-related symptoms, chronic pain, or nervous system dysregulation that hasn’t fully resolved with other approaches.
You want a therapy experience that’s adaptable, innovative, and designed around your needs.

Common Questions

I do not accept insurance. But I can create invoices or superbills of our sessions to help you with a reimbursement. Sometimes reimbursement options are available through employers, flexible spending accounts, or other third parties. Please contact your insurance provider directly to ask about reimbursement benefits.

Absolutely! It’s common for me to collaborate with a primary therapist while we work together. With your permission, I’ll keep them updated on our progress so we can ensure we’re both supporting you effectively. Extended sessions and intensives can complement weekly talk therapy beautifully. Think of it this way: your talk therapist lays the groundwork, and together we build the house.

Anyone capable of focusing on a thought and motivated to find relief can benefit from these therapies. Ideal clients understand this isn’t typical talk therapy—it’s more focused and goal-oriented. You’ll be guided through a structured process to desensitize, process, and integrate your experience, moving beyond it to embrace new possibilities in life.

These powerful brain-based modalities address both psychological and physical symptoms resulting from adverse experiences. ART, Brainspotting, and EMDR are not limited to trauma—they’re also highly effective for enhancing performance and fostering personal growth

Therapy Intensives allow the opportunity to progress through your symptoms in a more succinct and focused way without the interruption of a 50-minute session.

An extended format may decrease overall treatment time because of time not spent on:

  • checking in at the beginning of each session,
  • addressing current crises and concerns,
  • focusing on stabilizing and coping skills that the client won’t need after healing, or
  • assisting the client in regaining composure at the end of the session.

Available in-person in Portland, Oregon and virtually throughout Oregon.

In-person:

  • 2455 NW Marshall St suite 7, Portland, OR 97210
  • Local to Portland privately owned backyards for Garden Therapy Intensives

Online: We meet online from the comfort of your home. No need to fight traffic and scavenge for parking.

Due to legal requirements, we are bound by the state of Oregon lines. So you must be at least one foot inside the borders.

You’ll need a quiet, private space, a solid internet connection, and a device like a tablet or computer for our video calls.

For an extra touch of comfort and convenience, consider having these on hand:

  • Headphones for extra privacy and bilateral music
  • Water to stay refreshed
  • Tissues (this is probably required IMO)
  • Pen, paper, and art supplies (if you want to take notes or try some creative expression)
  • Fidget toys or other comforts

Therapy is a deeply personalized process, and the time it takes depends on your unique needs, goals, and the challenges you’re facing. Together, we’ll experiment with different techniques to see what works best for your system, adjusting along the way.

The length of therapy often varies based on several factors, such as:

  • The type of trauma you’re addressing:
    • Complex trauma (multiple moments over time) may require a longer, more layered approach.
    • Single-incident trauma may resolve more quickly, as the focus is narrower.
  • Relational or ongoing safety needs: Healing can take more time when navigating unsafe environments or rebuilding trust in relationships.
  • Biological, medical, and environmental factors: These play a role in influencing brain health. A spectrum of considerations—such as medications, chronic stressors, nutrition, movement, sleep patterns, and overall lifestyle—can affect your readiness and response to therapy.

That said, when we meet for extended sessions or intensives, we can often accelerate the process. The combination of the therapy modalities I use and the consolidated time allows us to work deeply and efficiently, helping you see meaningful progress more quickly.

We’ll tailor the process to meet your needs and goals, supporting you every step of the way.
