What is a therapy intensive?
A therapy intensive is a focused, extended session designed to help you process a specific trauma memory or chronic pain pattern in a structured 3-hour format.
Rather than spreading work across months of weekly therapy, we concentrate deeply on one primary target using ART, EMDR, Brainspotting, and Pain Reprocessing Therapy.
The goal is not endless insight. It’s nervous-system resolution.
How quickly can I be seen?
Intensive openings are intentionally limited each month. If we determine it’s a good fit, we’ll review the next available dates together.
What happens in the consultation?
You may choose from two options:
Phone
15-Minute Consultation
Complimentary
A brief conversation to confirm whether the intensive model may be a good fit.
Video
45-Minute Consultation
$225
For more complex circumstances or if you’d like more time to explore before scheduling.
This is not therapy. It’s a focused fit consultation.
We’ll check on fit, clarify your goals, and determine whether the intensive model is appropriate for where you are right now.

Are sessions virtual or in-person?
Both are available. All clients must be physically located in Oregon during their session — even if meeting virtually.

How long are intensives?
Initial intensives are 3 hours. This allows time for intake, assessing your system’s response to the work, adjusting focus and expectations, and at least one meaningful processing session.
Follow-up sessions are 90 minutes — scheduled as needed for continued integration or additional targets.

My practice is not in-network with insurance and all sliding scale spots are filled. This allows me to maintain a focused schedule and provide extended trauma-focused therapy intensives.
Do you accept insurance?
I am an out-of-network provider. Superbills are available for therapy intensives only — not consultations.
Because intensives involve extended time blocks, insurance reimbursement may be partial or limited depending on your plan. If you plan to seek reimbursement, please contact your insurance provider directly. Often a 3-hour therapy intensive in one day may include 90791 and 90837, if this is our first session.
CPT Codes Used
90791 — Initial intake
90837 — 60 min+
Note: Most plans only reimburse one session per day. Multi-hour intensives may not be fully reimbursed.

What’s the difference between a therapy intensive and an IOP?
This is a common question — and an important one.
An Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is a higher level of care designed for people in active crisis or acute distress. IOPs typically include group therapy multiple times per week, psychiatric evaluation, medication support, and case management. They are designed for stabilization — not deep processing.
A therapy intensive is designed for people who are generally stable and high-functioning, and want to do targeted work on a specific memory, pain pattern, or long-standing emotional block.
If you are experiencing active suicidal ideation, self-harming behaviors, or feel unsafe day-to-day — a therapy intensive is not the right fit. Please reach out to a local IOP, crisis line, or hospital-based support. My intensives are often the right next step after the crisis — when you’re ready to heal something old and persistent that hasn’t shifted despite your best efforts.
What if I’m not sure I’m ready?
You don’t need to feel completely confident. You simply need a clear area to focus on, stability, and willingness to engage deeply.
If you’re unsure, that’s exactly what the consultation is for.
v.
What happens after the intensive?
Some clients experience meaningful shift after one session. Others return for 90-minute follow-ups monthly or as needed to deepen integration or address additional targets.
Frequency is flexible.
Do you provide crisis support?
No. I do not provide emergency or crisis services. If you’re in immediate danger or distress, please call 911, go to your nearest ER, or contact your local mental health crisis line (call or text 988).
Reach out via my secure contact form. I typically respond within 1–2 business days.
